On July 1st, over 2300 participants celebrated Canada Day by running and walking in seven different cities: Edmonton, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Barrie, Moncton, Charlottetown and St. John’s. All participants received a beautiful red and gold finisher’s medal.
In St. John’s, all proceeds from the event went to Broken Earth, a volunteer-driven medical relief charity that helps people in need around the world. Nearly half the participants in Bowring Park were future runners completing the youth 1K fun run, which has grown into a family favourite. The weather was perfect and everyone loved taking photos with our red maple leaf. Thank you everyone for coming out and see you all next year!
