Nutrience Oakville Half Marathon

On the shores of Lake Ontario, the sun rises on a calm, brisk September morning. A certain energy falls over Coronation Park in Oakville, where runners and walkers take their place in the Start Line chute. They are waiting to put their summer training to the test at the 12th annual Nutrience Oakville Half Marathon on September 29-30, 2018. The horn goes off and participants set off on their 21.1K journey through the streets of beautiful Oakville.

This fall must-run event will take participants through the most scenic areas of Oakville, using the same updated route from 2017. Sights include Sixteen Mile Creek, Downtown Oakville, Lake Ontario waterfront and Bronte Harbour. Beginning and ending in Coronation Park, the route is guaranteed to showcase the best that Oakville has to offer. After a near-record crowd in 2017, this year’s event looks forward to welcoming back the 93% of participants who say they will run it again.

Last year, nearly 25 different vendors took part in the Runner’s Expo, featuring a variety of local healthy and active living businesses. The Runner’s Expo is a mandatory stop for all participants to pick up their official race t-shirt, runner’s bib and special Swag Bag, featuring great products from sponsors and vendors.

The 2018 Race Weekend will also feature a new event: the 5K/Nutrience Half Marathon Challenge! Not for the faint of heart, this new event will push participants to complete both the 5K and Nutrience Half Marathon events, back to back! The 5K event will begin at 7:00 a.m. at Rebecca Street and Third Line, finishing at Coronation Park in time for the Nutrience Half Marathon start at 7:45 a.m. A special prize awaits those who complete the challenge!

Race day invites participants of all ages and abilities to experience the Nutrience Oakville Half Marathon.
