Okanagan Marathon

by Allan Cabral

Over 2,700 runners and walkers participated in the 2017 BMO Okanagan Marathon. David Eikelboom from Whitehorse, Yukon finished first in the men’s marathon with a time of 2:34:27, and Kelowna’s Claire Young won the women’s marathon in a time of 3:06:12.

The event also raised $6,800 in support of charities like The Sunshine Foundation of Canada, which assists Canadian children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses. Thank you to the sponsors, volunteers and participants for making this a successful event once again.

Join us for the 24th annual Okanagan Marathon on Thanksgiving Weekend 2018. It combines a scenic race course with community spirit in the beautiful city of Kelowna. Participants can choose to run or to walk in one of four race categories: 5K, 10K, 21.1K (half marathon), or 42.2K (full marathon). For more information,  visit okanaganmarathon.ca.
